Jingler is built for funny, thoughtful, affectionate, and creative musical messages.
We want people to use it for moments like:

Not every request can become a song.
We may refuse, limit, or remove content that is unsafe, abusive, illegal, deceptive, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate for a broadly accessible consumer app.
Generally Acceptable
Content that is usually acceptable includes:
- Playful flirting between adults
- Affectionate teasing
- Mild breakup or situationship humor
- Friendly jokes about being late, forgetting to reply, bad dating decisions, or everyday habits
- Birthday and holiday songs
- Apology songs about low-stakes situations
- Supportive songs for friends and family
- Pet songs
- Parody about ordinary life
- Mild non-targeted profanity
- Fictional dramatic scenarios that are clearly harmless
- Songs celebrating identity, relationships, and community without attacking others
Context matters. A joke that is harmless between close friends may become harassment when used to target or humiliate someone.
Not Acceptable
Jingler will not intentionally generate the following categories of content.
Sexual Exploitation or Content Involving Minors
Never allowed:
- Sexual content involving anyone under 18
- Sexualization of minors
- Grooming
- Exploitation
- Requests to make a minor sound or appear sexual
- Content promoting or normalizing abuse of minors
Attempts may result in immediate restriction or reporting where legally required.
Pornographic or Overtly Explicit Sexual Content
Not allowed:
- Graphic sexual descriptions
- Pornographic lyrics
- Explicit fetish content
- Content intended primarily for sexual stimulation
- Non-consensual sexual scenarios
- Incest, sexual violence, or exploitation
Mild adult flirting and non-explicit romantic humor may be allowed.
Hate and Discrimination
Not allowed:
- Attacks based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, caste, or similar protected traits
- Dehumanizing language
- Praise for hate groups
- Hateful slurs used to target or degrade
- Calls to exclude, harm, or intimidate a protected group
Positive identity and cultural celebration are allowed.
Harassment and Bullying
Not allowed:
- Targeted humiliation
- Repeated unwanted insults
- Threats
- Encouraging others to harass someone
- Cruel body shaming
- Sexual harassment
- Publishing private information
- Content designed to terrorize or intimidate
Friendly roasts must remain clearly playful and non-abusive.
Violence and Graphic Harm
Not allowed:
- Graphic descriptions of gore or torture
- Credible threats
- Praise or encouragement of violent attacks
- Instructions to seriously harm someone
- Celebration of real-world suffering
- Content supporting terrorism or violent extremist organizations
Non-graphic fictional action and mild cartoon-style exaggeration may be allowed.
Self-Harm and Eating-Disorder Encouragement
Not allowed:
- Encouraging suicide or self-injury
- Instructions for self-harm
- Glorification of self-harm
- Content that encourages dangerous starvation, purging, or eating-disorder behavior
- Songs intended to shame someone into self-harm
Supportive or recovery-oriented messages may be allowed.
Illegal or Dangerous Conduct
Not allowed:
- Instructions for serious crimes
- Fraud or scams
- Drug manufacturing
- Weapon construction
- Evading law enforcement
- Dangerous stunts likely to cause serious injury
- Hacking or unauthorized access
- Encouraging impaired driving or other reckless conduct
Light fictional mischief that does not provide actionable harmful instructions may be allowed.
Privacy Violations
Do not submit:
- Home addresses
- Passwords
- Financial-account details
- Government identification numbers
- Medical records
- Private intimate information
- Another person’s confidential information
- Information intended to expose, track, or endanger someone
Do not use Jingler for doxxing or surveillance.
Impersonation and Deception
Not allowed:
- Pretending a real person created, performed, or endorsed a song when they did not
- Fraudulent celebrity or public-figure endorsements
- Deceptive political persuasion
- Misleading emergency messages
- Scams
- Fabricated evidence
- Content intended to damage someone’s reputation through false claims
Clearly fictional parody may be allowed when it would not reasonably mislead someone.
Copyright and Artist Imitation
Do not request:
- Reproduction of copyrighted song lyrics
- Copies of existing songs or melodies
- Unauthorized use of protected characters or recordings
- A result designed to impersonate a living artist’s distinctive voice or style
- A song falsely presented as an unreleased work by a real artist
Ask for broad genres, eras, instruments, moods, and musical qualities rather than a copy of a specific artist.
Exploitation and Abuse
Not allowed:
- Human trafficking
- Sexual exploitation
- Domestic abuse encouragement
- Animal cruelty
- Blackmail
- Extortion
- Revenge pornography
- Content celebrating real abuse
Dangerous Misinformation
Not allowed:
- Deceptive medical instructions likely to cause harm
- False emergency information
- Content intended to interfere with elections through deception
- Dangerous claims presented as authoritative facts
- Fraudulent financial promises
Jingler is an entertainment product and should not be used as a source of professional medical, legal, financial, or emergency advice.
Content About Real People
Be thoughtful when making songs about real people.
You should:
- Get permission before sharing private information
- Avoid humiliating or threatening someone
- Avoid sensitive allegations
- Make clear when content is fictional or a joke
- Respect requests to stop sharing a song
- Avoid using a person’s identity for fraud or impersonation
Moderation and Enforcement
Jingler may use automated systems, provider safety tools, and human review where appropriate to enforce these Guidelines.
We may:
- Refuse a generation request
- Modify or limit a request
- Prevent a song from being shared
- Remove a shared song
- Warn a user
- Limit generation access
- Suspend or terminate an account
- Preserve information where required for safety or legal compliance
Repeated attempts to bypass filters may result in account restrictions.
Moderation is imperfect. A refusal does not necessarily mean that a user intended harm, and the absence of a refusal does not mean content is approved.
Users are responsible for reviewing songs before sharing them.
